Meet Our Founders

Anita Woodyard, owner of Woodyard Embroidery, brings extensive experience from education and leadership roles at institutions like Virginia Tech and Florida State University into her thriving custom embroidery and personalized gifts business. In addition, she holds a bachelor’s degree in management and leadership from Bluefield College. Because of her dedication to quality and creativity, Anita has made Woodyard Embroidery a trusted name for custom apparel and gifts.

Supporting her every step of the way is her husband, Leland Barber, who manages equipment and building maintenance with over 30 years of contracting experience. He also serves as CEO of SRQ Recycling Plastics, bringing valuable business expertise to the team. Together, Anita and Leland share a passion for community and family. They are proud parents of three children, grandparents to eight, and great-grandparents to two. Beyond family life, they enjoy adventures with their beloved dog, Ms. Ellie Mae, whether at home or on the water.

  I would love to recommend Woodyard Embroidery for all of your special gifting needs. I had them create five large bunnies 🐰 for me. Each one was Embroidered with the names of my great nephews and nieces. The kids loved them and still do. Woodyard Embroidery finished the order within a couple days and packaged and shipped the bunnies to Kentucky and South Carolina.   I had a blanket done for my grandson and it was PERFECT!! Great customer service and workmanship. I have another grandson now and took a 2nd Blanket back. Can't wait to see Anita's Great Work!!
